Joe Pledges to protect Social Security

On June 14th, a group of local residents gathered outside of the Social Security office in South Bend as Joe Donnelly officially signed a pledge to the people of the 2nd District regarding his position on Social Security. The pledge articulated several stances that Joe promises to remain firm on when he is elected to Congress in November. Most importantly the pledge promises that Joe will work to strengthen retirement security while strongly opposing Social Security Privatization that might weaken the system or contribute to an increase in the federal deficit.
